A Matter of Time

The first Friday of September 2026. It’s the Friday of a 3-day holiday weekend and it’s pretty depressing. The day started out awkward and sweaty and that’s probably going to end that way as well.

The agency that has placed me at the fruit stand has an ongoing thing where they State they want my personal goals as involved with employment. The goal of showing up at 8:00 in the morning and doing my job until 5:00 p.m. in the afternoon and then going home is not as satisfactory enough (gold) goal

I want to tell them that next week I will be 64 years old, close to retirement. My goals are just that make it to retirement, do my job, go home and relax. Try working past 65 years old. If I am working past 65 years old then I will have to do that. I do know that I will probably work until the day I die. Will that be a long time I don’t know for Bill’s sake I hope it would be a long time.

Part of me wants to be answering their goal questions honestly, but they more than likely want to hear what they want to hear and that has nothing to do with honesty, honestly.

Once again I sit in the concrete (car) park a few blocks away from the main headquarters which I’ve been calling the belly of the beast. Maybe I will just call it the belly of the beast. I try to do a good job. I try to do what is asked of me and perhaps I overdo it perhaps I overthink it. It is ultimately depressing.

Bill (bill) is on the road. Mike is at my apartment. He received his television that was (said) sent to him by his beloved (way) Wade following me right now in fact calling me.

Mike just called. He’s definitely sympathetic to my situation. He does not like Yancy at all. Only because of what Yancy is putting me through though I am also putting myself through it in my attempts to make sure that (Nancy) Yancy is happy.

Already looking at a potential problem on Wednesday, where Yancy will be at my (food) fruit stand and I am scheduled to be at his fruit stand. I suppose it’ll have to be rectified on Tuesday afternoon.

I am just waiting four and a half hours to get to 5:00 and start a 3-day weekend. I’ve been looking forward to this 3-day weekend since July.

Once again Violet has come through with her pleasant teaching demeanor. Another client showed up who needed assistance with that program that I had difficulty with the other day. To recap, Yancy tried teaching me this computer program in the morning and it did not sink it. In the afternoon Violet helped me with that computer program and it works perfectly

It’s just a matter of time I suppose and that’s all anything is really, a matter of time.
