Walking home from the Newport Mall after helping Mike pick out a shirt and some slacks and some shoes, and a belt for his job interview on Thursday. I hope things go well for him cuz he desperately needs to get a job.
I am walking past the river, actually alongside the river turned out to be a nice evening after a gray day, all day in Manhattan. I wore a raincoat this morning, which seemed to the right idea this morning, but in the evening it was a bit much.
Today is election day or primary day in New Jersey, and I can’t say I’m committed to any potential candidate, so I think I’m going to sit out the primary and let others decide who will be the gubernatorial candidate. It’s good to spend time with Mike just walking around buying things. I bought a pair of Adidas sneakers, which were leather, for about 46 bucks.
On May 26th I ordered a pair of Adidas canvas sneakers which were the same ones that I had previous and I like them enough that I decided to buy the same make and model but here we are June 10th and the sneakers still have not arrived so I canceled the order which was on Amazon and bought a pair that was even better for about the same amount of money at JCPenney. I can’t wait to wear them to work tomorrow since tomorrow it’s not supposed to be as rainy as it was today. I also bought a very nice shirt for Bill at Kohl’s, which he doesn’t know about, although he knows I did get him a present.
He is at the garage with the bus waiting to receive word to go to Newark airport to pick up some people to drive to Jersey City, and he doesn’t know what flight they’re on, so he’s sitting around waiting for the phone call. He told me he tried calling the passengers earlier, but all calls all went to voicemail, so he is in the dark, so to speak.
Other than that it was a pretty good day. Work was no problem, I really like this position and I still haven’t talked about it. I like the area of Manhattan that I work in. I like the people that I’m working with. I hope it lasts, but it’s not up to me since I’m under contract not employed by the company, I am just a contract player.
Now I’m back in Hoboken again, still a wonderful evening as I walk down to Newark Street, about to cross Hudson Street. Rainbow crosswalks at the corner of Newark Street and Washington Street by City Hall. The colors are quite vibrant, and they’ll be faded away by next year.
It’s actually later than it usually is when I come home from work. Don’t know what else to say, once again at a loss for words. Now I am on 1st Street. I just want to go home and eat something, and relax. That’s an easy plan, I think it’s easily achieved.
The mayor of Hoboken called me up today asking if I was going to vote for him, and since I was in the bathroom, I told him yes, even though I’m not.
And so I voted anyway since I was walking past the polling place and there were still a few minutes left to vote, so I voted a hodgepodge of columns and clicks, but it’s done.
I contributed. The end.
