Open to Change

Tuesday, November 18th 1:21 p.m. I am at my desk listening to the Herbie Hancock Megamix, waiting for 5 Seconds of Summer to arrive; a boy band from Australia.
I ate lunch, but I haven’t had lunch yet.

So there was some bad news last night from Mike. Apparently, the part-time job was not a part-time job, but rather a temporary job, and last night was the end date for that. There’s a great disappointment for all concerned, and now we have to scramble and find him something new.

That Dolan family are fucking rotten bastards all around from St Patrick’s Cathedral to Penn Station they can all go to hell. Nobody treats my son like that.

And unfortunately, Mike has been swimming in cash and spending it accordingly. Not much for saving, though I am not one to speak of such matters since I have been guilty of the same in the past.

But he has to hustle now and find something. It’s disappointing because he finally felt he was doing good and this was a job that was going to be good for him, and it was until they decided otherwise. Those fucking Dolans.

Today, Mike is with Bill, who is driving a U-Haul in Newark to pick up furniture that a friend of Mike’s, ‘Pop’ had bequeathed him.

I haven’t heard much from either one. I can only assume that things are okay, in fact, they are back in Jersey City headed towards Mike’s crib.

Today’s guests are from Australia, called 5 Seconds of Summer. I have no idea what they sound like, though they could sound like the noisy pop that is playing behind me right now.

The band that is playing behind me right now is called Thursday. They could be anyone, really, that’s how out of it I can be with regards to modern pop rock and boy bands, which seem to all fit in the mix together.

Bill and Mike are fast approaching 62 Jewett Avenue, then they get the furniture from the truck into the apartment, and then return the truck, at least that’s how it is on paper.

This morning I had to maintain camera and door access for the office that’s a half a mile away, and it went well, mostly, although there were problems with the camera dropping off the iPad and then taking a moment to reconnect, which led to the frustration of the person ringing the bell

Tomorrow morning, Yancy makes an appearance at my office from 8:00 until 12:00.
I am uncertain if he will be accompanied by Lex Luthor. That has been the plan for some time now, and tomorrow might be the time it comes into fruition with those two showing up.

I do feel bad for Mike; he had his heart set on this position. Despite its foibles, he was content and willing to put up with whatever they threw at him. I am disappointed in the Madison Square Garden entertainment and sports corporation. Rotten bastards all around

11/17/25

It is 1:11 PM on Monday, November 17th, 2025. This phone does not take dictation very well. If I don’t stay on top of it and edit as I dictate when I go home later, and try to edit a lot of it, I’m trying to figure out what it was I was trying to say…

I am outside at my lunch hour and standing in the sun at a different spot than I usually am, mostly because that spot was occupied, and also it’s in the shade, and though it’s 44°, it feels like 38° according to my phone.

So the weekend was enjoyable, and Mike came over later in the day. The original plan was for him to come over in the morning, but he went to sleep and I suggested he come over around 6:00 or 7:00 so I can make my dinner and eat it without having to worry about him.

Of course, I did make him food once he did come over, and that whole process was about 10 minutes long. He was apologetic and said that if it ever happened again, he would send the text saying that he was unavailable or going to sleep or what have you.

When I initially dictated ‘going to sleep’, it was heard as ‘virtuously’, which is odd. This artificial intelligence has a lot to be desired, and it’s only the beginning.

As I read myself for work this morning, I realized that this is the week that I have to maintain the camera at the other location the half a mile away from where I am at now, so throughout the morning I’ve been scanning the camera and nothing was happening, so I have to keep up with that.

Thursday’s supposed to be a big day from UPS to be signed, at least that’s what Marcus just told me. They just have to do it when I’m sitting in front of the monitor, which is an iPad

Tomorrow’s big event is Bill helping out Mike. Mike is getting furniture from Newark, New Jersey, and renting a U-Haul, which will be driven by Bill. Oh, what I wouldn’t give to be a fly on the wall or at least in the cab of the truck

A friend of Mike’s, Pops in Newark is moving and has furniture to get rid of, and Mike has been a year without much furniture, so here’s a chance to get some decent furniture which he has seen and picked out, and tomorrow is the day he is supposed to bring it from Newark to Jersey City, specifically 62 Jewett Avenue

Today’s minute cigar is in Oliva. And I find it very pleasant, very smooth.

I have just moved from the Sun to the shade, for the Sun is too strong, overheating me.
But the shade has a wind coming from West to East through the canyons of Manhattan, and it only picks up as it travels across the island.

It’s not going to be a full lunch hour. I have about 10 minutes left with the cigar, and then I’ll be heading back upstairs.
