Thela Hun Ginjeet

It’s Thursday and man it’s been a weird day. Not for everyone, not for work but for me on quite a personal level. But first, last night. Nothing happened last night, got sucked into the war again, this time catching the first episode which was brutal, Pearl Harbor, the blitzkrieg on Poland, the rise of fascism, Guadalcanal, the internment of Japanese Americans, the maintaining of segregation of the armed forces. The last one made me think, that if the troops worked side by side of all colors in the second world war, I think integration would have happened a lot faster, and racism and prejudice might have been reduced greatly. Not eliminated because some people will never learn, but it would have opened some eyes and probably would have gotten people to visit Sylvia’s up in Harlem and find out that black people can eat at restaurants, even run restaurants in a civil manner. The world had changed after World War 2 but it could have changed that much more if only people rocked the boat a little. These guys were in the army, trained not to question authority, so if some Colonel or Major or whatever said, “You, Bunker! You’re partnered with Jefferson!” and despite some initial grumbling, Norman Lear would have to think of a new concept for a sitcom 30 years later.

Last week I mentioned that I was on the reader’s comments in the New York Daily News and I almost got flamed by a trangendered person by the name of tedirene. Someone is lacking in imagination with a name like that I thought but then again all the hormone treatments probably doesn’t help one think properly, when the biggest decision is a tiny matter between one’s legs. Well kudos to tedirene, who posted to me on the Daily News board, addressed to me.
johnozed: On a hunch visited https://johnozed.com/. Everything is clear to me now. Have a nice weekend sugar-britches.

Sugar britches, what an adorable name. I’m sure he meant it as a put down, but it seemed so cute, like a fluffy kitten. And he did wish me a a good weekend. I shouldn’t mock since poor old tedirene probably has more days behind him/her than ahead of her/him, the use of the word britches is a sure tip off. I am glad that senior citizens like tedirene are keeping themselves busy, staying out of trouble and off the streets. I wonder if he’s a Scientologist though, the ‘everything is clear’ comment seems like a clue. A proper thetan that tedirene. It was nice of him to give a plug to https://johnozed.com . The thing thats worse than being talked about is NOT being talked about, so tedirene gets aroused by reading this and I do my bit helping out with his cataracts. He should do something about that hunch though. Esmeralda is betting tired of it, or her brother, Esmeraldo is. What ever makes tedirene happy is fine by me. LGBTedirene. We’re fighting for you! We will make sure you’re covered by ENDA!

And here’s a scoop of good news, I was able to sell my Arcade Fire/LCD Soundsystem tickets, only had to eat $20 which while not as filling as 96.50, still left me sated. And of course, me being me, comfortable in my skin, I felt a pang of sellers remorse. It seemed like a fitting conclusion since my meltdown at the Arcade Fire show at Radio City in May.

Here’s some pics.
